The Conch Republic has a flag, a prime minister, a celebration and now a currency. Thanks to artist Michael Duffy, the Conch Republic has a silver shipwreck-style coin minted in honor of its Independence Day Celebration.

The words "Conch Republic Twenty Dollars" encircle a schooner sailing calm, clear waters of the Keys on one side of the coin. The flip side depicts a Conch shell in the center of a sun framed by "Independance 1982 - 1996"

Minted from one troy ounce of pure silver, the coin cost $25.00 each. They are also available in 24 karat gold by special order for $500.00, the coins are also available wrapped with either gold fill wire(add $25.00) or silver wire(add $20.00) to hang on a chain(chain not included).

The coins are available now in a limited edition. At the end of the run the die will be retired and a new die will be made for next years coin. The coins are expected to be collectors items with the first edition expected to be extremely attractive to collectors.
